Pastor's Ponderings

Greetings Brothers and Sisters in Christ, As your new pastor I will have barely been in the saddle a month by the time you read this newsletter. First of all I want to thank you for your warm welcome to me as your pastor. The reception, the gifts, and your words of support are appreciated more than words can say. Thank you!!!!

I pray that we will be able to work side by side with the common goal of living out

OUR MISSION:
Worshipping and Sharing
Reaching out and Caring
Serving God...
Peacefully,
Simply,
Together

As we begin to transition from summer to fall with the hopes of cooler temperatures, we also hope for the return of our winter members and friends. In additionn, I encourage all of you to invite your friends, family, neighbors, and co-workers to worship with us each Sunday.

I plan to keep the same office hours as our church secretary. Tuesdays through Thursdays from 8:30 AM to 12 noon. Whenever a need arises, I can be reached by phone either through the church office (381-0709) or my home phone (532-9073).

If you desire a pastoral visit, please call the church office to schedule a time convenient for you.

Fall Edition 2007

Everything I Need to Know About Life, I Learned from Noah

  1. Don't miss the boat.
  2. Remember that we are all in the same boat.
  3. Plan ahead. It wasn't raining when Noah built the Ark.
  4. Stay fit. When you're 600 years old, someone may ask you to do something really big.
  5. Don't listen to critics; just get on with the job that needs to be done.
  6. Build your future on high ground.
  7. For safety's sake, travel in pairs.
  8. Speed isn't always an advantage. The snails were on board with the cheetahs.
  9. When you're stressed, float awhile.
  10. Remember, the ark was built by amateurs; the Titanic by professionals.
  11. No matter the storm, when you're with God, a rainbow is always waiting.
